Juventus star Paul Pogba is demanding a huge £300,000 per WEEK to join Chelsea this summer. On top of a £70m transfer fee, that means a five year deal for the midfielder would cost the Blues a staggering £148m.

The former Manchester United midfielder is being chased by a host of European clubs this summer with Barcelona and Real Madrid thought to be interested in the Frenchman.

Pogba, 22, has developed into one of the best midfielders in the world since moving to Italy in 2012 and would command a transfer fee in the region of £70million to leave Juventus.

Officials at Stamford Bridge are determined to make one more signing this summer, and after losing hope of landing Everton defender John Stones as the Toffees dug their heels in, Pogba has emerged as the leading contender to attract the interest of the Blues.

However, any move for the Juventus midfielder will break the British transfer record – set by Manchester United’s £59.7m move for Angel Di Maria last summer.

Eden Hazard is currently Chelsea’s highest paid player as the Belgium winger takes home £250,000-a-week before tax, but the Blues are willing to blow their budget in a bid to land Pogba.
