Wayne Rooney breaks England scoring record!

Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney, has broken Sir Bobby Charlton's record at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday to become England's all-time record goalscorer.

GOAL 47: It took just six minutes for Rooney to get on the scoresheet against Lithuania in March earlier this year, in a 4-0 win at Wembley
Rooney scored from the spot on the 84th minute, Raheem Sterling jinked and fell in the area. The referee pointed to the spot. And so they stood to hail Wayne, with cries of “Rooney, Rooney” around Wembley. Rooney stepped up and spanked a fine penalty into the top of the net off the hand of Yann Sommer, then ran behind the goal to celebrate, a little overcome by the moment. Home of football.

A record that stood for 45 years has finally been surpassed, and deservedly so.
